Tamanduá Camp

This ecotourism camp is located in the Lacandon Jungle, very close to the Montes Azules Biosphere Reserve. This place will allow you to be in contact with nature in comfortable facilities and live an adventure in the jungle. The community of this camp has programs oriented to the conservation and preservation of the jungle, making this place ideal for student groups.

Here the visitor can stay in their modern tents: each one can comfortably accommodate up to 4 visitors and has a terrace with chairs and hammocks that allow you to enjoy the surrounding jungle landscape.

How to get there

From Comitán, reach the junction to Lagunas de Montebello National Park, after 37 km. When you reach this place, turn slightly to the right to stay on highway 307. From this point you will travel 136 km on the same highway until you reach the junction with the riparian road (kilometer 293). Here, take the riverside road and after 16 km (passing through the towns of Boca de Chajul and Playón de la Gloria) you will reach Galacía. In Galacía, turn right onto the central road and follow it until it joins the dirt road. Take that road to the right, until you reach the town of Flor de Marques.
