The Arcotete

El Arcotete Tourist Park is located 4 km northwest of the Magical Town of San Cristobal de las Casas, towards the indigenous community of Tenejapa, the Tourist Park is framed by abundant vegetation and numerous fauna; here you will find this attractive natural arch of stone, formed over thousands of years thanks to the force of the Fogotic River, creating a formation that mixes elements of a natural arch and caves, so the caves, rock formations and stalactites abound in the place... Ideal for those adventurers who like to be in contact with nature, it has a large expanse of land completely full of vegetation where you can breathe tranquility and fresh air, so it is advisable to spend a couple of hours to fully enjoy this beautiful place.

The walls of this natural formation are a paradise for lovers of rock climbing, as there are some routes for sport climbing, which ascend through hard falls.

It is located 8 km from San Cristóbal on the road to Tenejapa. 20 minutes from the Historic Center of San Cristóbal de Las Casas.
