Lagos de Colón Ecotourism Center

This site is a lagoon system that emerges at the height of the Cristóbal Colón ejido, very close to the archaeological zone called "El Lagartero". The Colón lagoons are a beautiful place created by a river coming from Guatemala that slows down as it enters Chiapas, divides into multiple branches and forms a series of enchanting crystalline lagoons of blue-green tones. The lagoons are of crystalline waters and of little depth interconnected by channels in a surface of 350 hectares where there are 44 beautiful lagoons that allow one to appreciate the diverse tonalities of ultramarine blue.
The color of the lakes, together with the exuberant vegetation formed by guanacastles, mahogany trees, cedars and chicozapotes, achieves a perfect balance with nature by combining harmoniously with the existing fauna, represented by a great diversity of fish and birds, as well as some reptiles and mammals.

The Colón Lakes are a natural spa, being an excellent place for diving and snorkeling lovers.
