La Palma is an old fishing village, immersed in the La Encrucijada Biosphere Reserve. The inhabitants of this community have organized themselves and offer their visitors, in addition to the great diversity of its flora, fauna, culture, gastronomy and a lifestyle governed by their customs and traditions.
This center offers alternatives to visit the nearby beaches, the highest mangroves of the American Pacific and admire a great variety of birds, mammals and reptiles. With the proceeds from tourism activities, this community supports community development and conservation projects.
Acapetahua is located 97 km from the city of Tapachula and 18 km from the Embarcadero de Las Garzas, where you will board the boat that will take you through the estuary, in a 20-minute ride, until you reach the ranch La Palma, where the facilities of the San Carlos Tourist Center are located.
