The name "Las Golondrinas" is due to the fact that during the summer hundreds of these birds cover the sky of the community in the afternoons and their sounds are found in the internal caverns of the waterfalls. In the swallows you can live an adventure among the exuberant vegetation, the birds singing and the saraguato monkeys chattering, besides the incredible view of four waterfalls of crystalline waters of 10 to 15 meters high, which form pools. You will also find trails to walk through the jungle.
Leaving from Ocosingo, first take Federal Highway No. 199 and then take the Southern Border where you travel 117 km to the Nueva Palestina crossroads, where you travel 9 km on paved road, then there is another 500-meter detour to reach the tourist center, before the San Javier crossroads.
