It is located in Lacanjá Chansayab, a Lacandon community that bases its subsistence on the natural resources provided by the biodiversity of Montes Azules and the Mayan cultural legacy, manifested in the archaeological site of Bonampak. It is an ecotourism camp certified with the NMX-133, by the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources with environmentally friendly facilities. It has a sustainable performance and good practices based on the principles of sustainable tourism.
It offers visitors the opportunity to learn about the biodiversity of the flora and fauna of the Lacandon Jungle and to live with a traditional Mayan Lacandon family. Crossed by a river, it offers lodging services in private and rustic cabins, a camping area, a restaurant and a Lacandon handicrafts store. Accompanied by a family member, you can explore the jungle by hiking to the Moctunihá waterfalls, observe the native flora and fauna, before sitting down at night in the camp to enjoy a Lacandon bonfire. Its location also allows you to visit the archaeological sites of Bonampak and Yaxchilán.
Leaving Palenque first by Federal Highway 199 and then by the Southern Border at 135 km where the Crucero de San Javier is located, from here you travel approximately 5 km and arrive at the community of Lacanjá. Chansayab (1 hour 40 minutes drive).
