White pozol

Savor this traditional drink made with nixtamalized corn dough

It is usually drunk unsweetened with bits of brown sugar loaf, with mango or peanut.

Pozol blanco

Preparation time: 15 minutes

Ingredients
  1. 1 kg. Nixtamalized white corn
  2. 60 gr. Lime
  3. 2 lt. Water
  4. Sugar
Preparation
  1. Grind the corn and make sure it is not too fine.
  2. Dissolve the dough with water, sugar and add ice.
Tips:

Stir before drinking, because pozol tends to settle after a couple of minutes, leaving a residue called muzú or shish at the bottom of the container.
