This site is located within the Biosphere Reserve El Ocote, is a beautiful waterfall that falls between rocks of irregular cuts, resulting in the collision of the waters that disintegrate in an intense breeze that spills as rain.
El Aguacero is a waterfall that originates in the cave of El Encanto, through which a subway river flows. The beauty of the waters that rush between cliffs, the caress of the nearby breeze and the rain that falls in the main part of the waterfall, constitute a unique attraction for local and foreign tourists.
The scenery is spectacular because the water flows down several rock ledges covered with moss and vegetation. It has a series of caves, among them El Encanto, a subway river and a waterfall named "Don Nicho".
Note: To access the waterfall it is necessary to descend 740 steps through dense vegetation.
From Tuxtla Gutierrez you must take federal highway number 190, which goes to Mexico City, after traveling 48 km you will find a detour, from this detour you will travel 3 km of dirt road.
