Chilacayote en dulce

Preparation time: 1 hour

Ingredients
  1. 2 kg. Chilacayote
  2. 2 kg. Brown sugar loaf.
  3. 4 Lt. Water
  4. 70 gr. Lime
Preparation
  1. Peel and cut the chilacayote into regular pieces.
  2. Soak the chilacayote in 1.5 liters of water with lime for 24 hours.
  3. boil the rest of the water with the panela.
  4. When the syrup is ready add the chilacayote and let it cook.
Tips:

You can replace the panela with sugar.
