Embarcadero Las Garzas, La Encrucijada Ecotourism Network
La Encrucijada is a system of mangroves and estuaries established as a Biosphere Reserve since 1995. Its great value is due to the fact that it is one of the main sites on the migratory route of around 80% of the aquatic birds that travel from the north of the American continent towards the Atlantic coasts, this is because here in this protected natural area are the highest mangroves in the American Pacific, with heights that exceed 35 meters.
Deep in this natural reserve, the La Encrucijada Ecotourism Network, It is located, a cooperative of tourist centers dedicated to the responsible management of natural resources, which open the door of their establishments to authentically share the experience in this authentic sanctuary on the coast of Chiapas.
This union of cooperatives has designed activities for tourists who like ecotourism, where contact with nature is encouraged in each of the activities that run through the attractions of these fishing villages on the coast of Soconusco, it is the ideal place to do activities such as kayaking, bird watching in mangrove tunnels, hiking, olive ridley turtle release (in season), coexistence with the communities that make up this coastal area, you can also see crafts made from natural elements and find moments of relaxation and enjoy sunsets on the beaches of this corner of the Mexican Pacific.
