The town of Soyatitán preserves the remains of a magnificent 16th century church, the product of the evangelization of the Dominican friars of Copanaguastla. You can still see parts of the nave and apse walls and the majestic façade with a lattice composition of flat pilasters and entablatures, shallow niches and stepped belfry.
