The state has several accesses from the highway. Roads and highways easily link the center of the country and the Gulf region with the capital, Tuxtla Gutiérrez, and the north of the state, while the coastal area is reached from the Isthmus of Tehuantepec. Using any of the accesses, it´s easy to travel around the state.
