La Candelaria

It is the main festival of Cintalapa, a city that is the center of a prosperous agricultural and livestock region. La Candelaria is also celebrated in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, with the “descent” of the Virgins of Copoya, from the community of Copoya to the valley where the capital is located.
