The first edition of this event took place on March 18, 2025, organized by the Unión Santa Isabel Cooperative and the Explorer - Manglar Group of the same community. The competition consists of a race across the Chantuto Lagoon, where participants paddle through the waters in kayaks. The winner is the one who completes the full course in the shortest time.
The activity is divided into men’s, women’s, and youth categories, and it is ideal for nature lovers who enjoy both adventure and the beauty of the region’s flora and fauna. The competition is open to everyone — locals, residents from across Chiapas, and national visitors — promoting unity and community participation.
