Festivity in Honor of Saint Bartholomew the Apostle
21 de Agosto
Parish of Saint Bartholomew the Apostle, Villa Comaltitlán
Every year, from August 21 to 24, Villa Comaltitlán celebrates its Patron Saint, Saint Bartholomew the Apostle, bringing residents and visitors together in an atmosphere filled with tradition, culture, and community spirit.
During these days, the covered forum of the central park, the sports complex, and the municipal auditorium become venues for artistic, cultural, and sports activities. These spaces host musical performances, shows, competitions, and family events that highlight the celebration and strengthen local identity. The participation of Comaltitlecos has been significant, establishing this festivity as one of the most anticipated of the year.
A major highlight is the coronation of the Fair Queen, who presides over and accompanies the scheduled events. Evenings are enlivened by musical groups that fill each night with rhythm and joy, inviting families to dance and celebrate together.
In the capital city, Tuxtla Gutiérrez, this festivity is also part of the patronal celebrations of the Parish of San Roque and Saint Bartholomew the Apostle. With activities designed for all audiences, the festivity seeks to promote family unity, attract visitors, and celebrate the cultural richness of Chiapas.
